There is a girl by the tracks

"There's a Girl by the Tracks!" by Deven Kanal is a powerful true story that unfolds on a crowded Mumbai suburban train one December evening in 2010.
The story begins when Roma Talreja, a 21-year-old call centre executive, is pushed by the crowd while trying to board a packed train at 6:32 p.m. She loses her tenuous foothold and falls more than a metre below the coach onto the tracks. As the train pulls away, she lies unconscious, bleeding from a gash behind her head.
Witnessing this from a speeding train on the opposite track is Baleshwar Mishra, a young high-school dropout from Mirzapur who came to Mumbai searching for work. Without hesitation, he pulls the emergency chain to stop his train. When he asks for help, the passengers in his compartment refuse, afraid of getting involved. Undeterred, Baleshwar jumps off the still-moving train to reach Roma.
Carrying the unconscious girl, Baleshwar struggles to find help. A tempo-truck driver finally stops, and together they rush Roma to a small hospital. When the facility lacks proper equipment, they take her to Divine Hospital, where the Medical Director admits her to the ICU without any paperwork.
Roma's brother Dinesh is contacted, and she makes a full recovery within a few days. Baleshwar later revisits the spot to retrieve her belongings. When asked why he helped a stranger, he simply replies: "She needed help. Tomorrow it could be anyone."
The story celebrates the selfless bravery of an ordinary person who risked his life to save another, proving that compassion can overcome fear and indifference
